TEDxSurrey Talk:

3 Questions to Help You Age Stronger, Healthier, and Happier

I’m incredibly honored that it was selected as an Editor’s Pick. More than anything, I hope this message reaches people who feel disconnected from their strength, energy, and health.

This talk is about strength, longevity, movement, and the small daily actions that shape our future health. I hope it reminds you that your power to change is real.

What Event Attendees Have to Say

Real stories from people who've been inspired, informed, and empowered.

Brenda, I wanted to tell you that my family absolutely LOVED your talk. They couldn't stop talking about it. And I mean my teenage boys and my husband — not exactly your target demographic, lol, but you still made an impression. They especially loved your "Bruce Lee moves"

Event Audience

You are so on point, and so many women suffer, suffer, ignored/mismanaged by the medical system. It is so inspiring to see you taking this on with your own experiences AND by having the medical background to substantiate what you are saying. I am so happy for you and for all of us who can benefit from your knowledge and

suffer in ignorance of their own AND being guidance.

Webinar Attendee

I am not afraid of dying. I am afraid of not being able to get out of a chair. These are not my words, but when I heard @brendalaumd speak them at the @surreyted event on Saturday. They stuck. Such relatable words to so many of us. Dr. Lau was quoting her mother... and her TED talk was focused on the freedom that comes with strength. Dr. Lau further wove in a personal story and reminded us that weakness does not have to be a normal part of aging. Her talk was one of 12 at this full-day event...and as TED× Surrey does so well, EVERY ONE made an impact and... has definitely left me thinking.
